Weekend Update

Well the past few days this week have held the old axiom both true and universal. April showers bring May flowers. Granted it's not necessarily May yet, but for the past week it's been raining on and off and now the flowers around here are beginning to blossom. I was out yesterday taking afew pictures and it was incredible to see. I walked up to one tree and to my amazment all I could hear was buzzing. I looked closer and there were bees hovering all around, going from one flower to the next, legs bulging with pollen. Amazing to see.

Teaching here is going ok. We're starting to see a drop off in our class sizes and a little bit of a rollback of our teaching hours. Before I was teaching 10 classes MWF and now I'm down to 9, which is nice. I've just finished my first week in April and it feels like time is just flying by now. I guess sooner than I expect it'll be the end of July and I'll be going home. It's strange how you experience time here. Sometimes it'll go by so fast you can't believe it and other times it just seems to go on for ever.

Anyways, here's some new pictures I took while I was out. Enjoy.

David--those pictures are awesome! I can't wait to see flowers here again! By the way, you must be quite a photographer to get close-ups like that!

Hmm... thanks for the offer Kenny, but I think I'll just let you keep yours. I don't think I could handle a daily commute to Japan :)
