the guy to the left, with the curly hair, looks alot like a guy i went to redeemer with. he was actually president for a time. is that david van mennen seated there?
just curious. it's weird to see an image of a fellow alumnus sitting at a bar in korea, that's all.
Yep that's him. He's living in Korea right now, married to a Korean woman and he is expecting a baby about 7 months from now. I'll tell him you said hi!

Hey Dave,
That term, "Wey-gook", is interesting. Do you know if it is any relation to the perjorative "gook" used by American soldiers in Vietnam?
Gook actually means "Person". The Korean word for a Korean is Han-gook, American is Mee-gook.

Is he a VanMinnen?? I know Dan is there, and I think his brother Dave (?) is there. We get email updates from Dan and Karen all the time.
